This ride takes you out of Kendal on the Sedberg road and joins the A684 via Sedberg to a little know farm called Cross Thwaite. The word Thwaite ﾓThe name is usually from Old Norse thveit (also written ?veit), but sometimes from Old Danish thwet, both meaning “clearing” or “meadow”
