West Flanders, BE – Parts 1 to 2

This two part ride takes you over the hills used most frequently in the spring Classic Gent Wevelgem. The Kemmelberg is the most well known of them & this comes towards the end after a hilly ride though farm land & the hops growing for the world famous beers brewed in this region.
This continues from the town of Kemmel and takes you north to the pancake flat polder land along the Belgium coast. To get there we pass the town of Ieper (Ypres) famous for some of the toughest fighting of world war one. From here we take the canal roads to finish in the town of Veurne. This is the most easy of all the rides in the collection with almost no hills.
