This route is via a poorly maintained road to Glen Lyon. The road was originally constructed by the Electricity board but is unsalted in winter. The mountain on your right is Ben Lawers and exceeds 3000ft and is snow caped at this time of year. Part 1. This leaves the town of Killin and heads into the Sotherh Higland Mountain range of Ben Lawers after a stiff climb to the bealach a remote loch is encountered called Lochan nan Lairlge. After the summit you will head towards Bridgeof Balgie.
