Passo Gavia

You deal with some very steep sections after a forested stretch located about midway along the Passo Gavia East, part of the Giro d’Italia (Tour of Italy). Soon enough you pass the snow line, then emerge into an austere, rugged landscape. After some icy mountain lakes at peak elevation, the road flattens out. Your descent now begins, eventually bringing you to Bormio.
