Grand Alps, Pierlas, Part 1, France

Part 1 of the Route des Grandes Alpes (Great Alpine Road), the ultimate cycling dream. Steady climb starting from the stunning Gorge du Cians on one of the most famous balcony roads in France, a hair-raising lane cut into the sides of sheer cliffs of red rock. You then turn onto a tiny road leading to a beautiful village of Pierlas crossing a wild landscape of waterfalls, forests, with interesting slabs and stratas of rocks.
