Marmotte CCW, Col du Galibier

Part of the Marmotte Grand Tour, (most famous cyclosportive), this time going counterclockwise. This part of the ride will take you from the small commune of La Grave up to the top of the Col du Galibier. Col du Galibier is the 6th highest pass in the Alps and is often the highest point of the Tour de France. It is a steady 20 km long hard climb, bringing you from 1480m to 2645m at an average grade of 5.7%. The difficulty of this climb is offset by small downhill sections and views of surrounding mountainous vistas.
