Passo del Mortirolo

The nastiest ride in our collection, and one of the most daunting stretches of road in all of cycling, the journey here requires extended preparation even when undertaken on the trainer. Strong mental stamina must accompany physical ability because much of this intimidating ascent is enclosed by forest. An absolute triumph for anyone who manages to prevail over it, whether on the trainer or on location, the route is often one of the stages in the Giro d’Italia (Tour of Italy).
