You cycle a legendary stretch of the Tour de France, now paved but in earlier times a dirt track. In the initial segment of the ride, you cover undulating farmland. After the hamlet of Gripp, the tough slogging kicks in. You can regain some of your energy at the Mongrie ski resort before launching up to the crest of the route and its panoramic view of the region’s rugged mountain peaks.
